Enjoy a visit in the Swartland and see the rural country-side of Malmesbury, only 40 minutes from Cape Town. A handful of farm owners have come together to form a conservancy and we now offer you the opportunity to experience the life on our farms. Come and enjoy a few hours, a day or even a long weekend with us. You can plan your ideal trip and visit the farms listed below. Nuweland At Nuweland you can book a winetasting event – a trip with a tractor and wagon to a hill top with wonderful views,sundowner winetasting in the outdoors and a meal to round it all off. In September we will be shearing our sheep and from October to December you can come and see wheat harvesting. You can end your visit with some tea and scones at the manor house French courtyard garden. We also offer paint-effect courses for painting your old furniture to make them the centrepiece in your home. In December our boutique wine cellar will open. Each of the two units consists of a living area with kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. Each unit has a ‘stoep’ with wonderful views of the Darling plains, wheatfields and vineyards. There are outside braai facilities and a fireplace for winter. Children are welcome. Come and feed our potbelly pigs and chickens. Take walks through the farm to a scenic viewing point, enjoy dirt roads for biking and even a hill top to climb, birdwatching along our vlei and exploring the natural renosterveld. Watch wheat harvesting in November and even visit a nearby dairy. All activities are offered to our accommodation guests. Solitude@Franki’s has four fully furnished bedrooms and is ideal for weekends, businessmen and holidaymakers. Franki’s Guest Lodge has ten fully furnished bedrooms as well as a conference facility. The Lodge is ideal for corporate breakaways, conferences, small weddings or functions. The double rooms in both guest houses have DSTV, air conditioning, fan, bar fridge and complimentary tea and coffee. Guests can selfcater and enjoy a glass of Franki’s Vineyards wine at the pool. Barbeque facilities are available. Wine tasting is offered from the boutique cellar and there is a dynamic museum display of classic and competition motor vehicles from the 1960’s and 1970’s.
