Come away and do business with God while enjoying a cosy guesthouse atmosphere in a country village just 40 minutes from Cape Town. Berachah Retreat and Conference Centre is a Christian conference centre situated on the banks of Malmesbury’s main river. Set in the Swartlands of the Cape, it is SA's very own L'Abri - a place of spiritual renewal.

We can accommodate up to 80 people spread over our up-market 3-star guest house (50 people) and backpacker self catering packages (30 people). Prices range from R70 per person upwards.

We also offer 4 night’s free accommodation to Pastors, Reverends, Dominees (and their wives and children under 16 years of age!)

3 basic packages as follows:

1. Private and personal retreat:

Sometimes you just need to get away and get closer to God in a quiet and spirit-filled atmosphere. If so, the Berachah Retreat and Conference Centre Mission is ideal. Do your own thing in your own time, perhaps a walk along our river under the trees or alternatively attend as our guest the vibrant church on the property, two prayer meetings a week or Sunday visits to the local mission field. Personal counselling is also available for those in need.

Cost:

• Almond Bridge - 3 star accommodation only. En-suite rooms. R190 per night single or R150 pp sharing. Meals from Budget menu @ R90 extra per person per day.
• Additional guesthouse menus available on request : Executive Menu and Conference Menu
• Optional take away and/or meals out in Malmesbury.
• Note that Pastors, Reverends, Dominees (and their wives and under 16 year old children) are welcome to come and stay 4 weekday nights for free. Meals remain @ R90 pp for 3 meals per day (Free Pastor accommodation subject to availability) Please forward this webpage to your elders and selected members of your congregation by clicking the “Recommend button” above.

2. Week-end Church / Cell Retreat and Renewal

Typically conducted from Friday night to Sunday with just the pastor, elders and selected members of the congregation. A time to get away to neutral ground, renew friendships, review the year behind and chart a course for the challenges ahead. Team building (and prayer) is the solution to church politics!

Total cost including 3 meals per day – Minimum 15 persons for two nights:

• “Almond Bridge” - 3 Star guesthouse, all rooms en-suite. R195 per person per night sharing. Two beds per room. Price includes three meals per day. (Free use of guest house conference facility,)

                Or…

• “Salem Lodge” – Budget Accommodation in our nearby lodge…(Max 30 persons, braai area, bunk beds 6 per dorm with en-suite shower room and toilet for each dorm)
  1.  R70 per person per day self catering – you bring and cook your food yourself.
  2. OR R80 per person per day – we cook the food you bring for you… and wash up!
  3. OR stay at Salem Lodge but walk 400 meters and eat at the Almond Bridge guest house from Budget, Conference or Executive Menus.
  4. Free access to your own dedicated 30 person Salem Lodge conference facility! 

3. Workshop venue:

Do you have expertise in a specific area that should be shared with other pastors …or Christians in general? Do you need a quiet place to teach others? If so our venue is ideal and offers not just accommodation but also a conference / presentation room with video projector, white boards etc.  Local tours to Swartland wheat farms, museums etc are also possible as a break between lectures.

Trees, walks and a quiet village atmosphere make this an ideal venue to get away and get closer to God. Other activities include ...birding along river, art galleries, museum, fishing, trips to local farms, Olympic sized swimming pool nearby.  Vibrant church, prayer meetings and counselling elsewhere on the mission if needed.
